Too much competition from China. They would have bumped the price if it wasn't for the cheap alternatives from every Chinese manufacturer.

Are there any competition ? There is cheaper TWS with comparable sound quality, but airpod comes with whole set of features, like transparent switching between devices, or Find My network, or charging case has buzzer for easy finding.
Which Chinese alternatives are available with similar quality in ANC, sound quality and fit? Like actual brands I can buy today, not the kind that has a brand name that was created by someone rolling their head on the keyboard and won't exist in 6 months.
Idk if soundcore is the same quality but it's pretty good and half the price of the base airpods. Hard to justify paying twice as much and not getting any ANC.
Sony's WF-C510s are $70. The APPs are one thing but the base airpods I never really found to be that amazing quality-wise.
The linkbud S's are comparable in pricing tho

That shape will sadly never stay in my ears. The Airpods Pro barely stay in, unless I eat, talk or sweat and they're less protruding from my ear.
Wow looks very good. I will say I've been highly impressed by Chinese consumer electronics they are often high quality, have many features, and usually are cheap.
