The market for a phone like this is extremely small and the price makes it even smaller.
I'd take a bet with you on this. Apple Vision Pro has sold something like ~600k units while the Fold7, one of ~a dozen foldables from Samsung, is estimated to have sold ~1.9 million units the first month of being available. The US launch price was also $1,999 for 256 GB.
Exact words were said numerous times in Apple's lineup over the years. I don't think this is like Vision Pro however
