Also like, I'd expect someone who wants people to hold a different position to make that position compelling to hold. Not being an ass about it is generally nice to have for that. Do you disagree?

Except you were not making things clear. On the contrary, you were pretending that there was ambiguity in their words. This is a very cowardly and sly way to make any point.
