Because yt pays creators more than the others, both in absolute (total dollars) and relative (revenue share) terms.

As long people are "sticking it to the man" with ad-block, youtube gets to keep it's monopoly. They have literately turned people's greed back against themselves, since it ensures starvation of competitors. And yt doesn't have anything to do with it, hence not monopolistic.

Even with creators who post on both Nebula and YouTube, I still end up watching them on YouTube for some reason.
