CP-violation would appear to rule this out.

The main referenced wiki suggests that the missing positrons are inside protons, but recent a recent LHC experiment asserts CP-violation over baryons.
Whole idea is nonsensical with modern understanding of quantum fields.
It is from 40s, when understanding wasn't there yet.
Wouldn’t this be a CPT exchange, though?
