It really is a shame what's happening to Apple, but I think Apple customers are waking up and are looking increasingly for exits.

Exits to where? I personally I dialed down my phone use to a minimum. I still use Iphone just because I see no better alternative for my sporadic use. I use few apps minimally and install almost nothing, i can't remember when I last visited the app store.
