My last go-round (3.5 years ago), I found Monster to be not as good as it used to be, at least for what I do (embedded systems).
Unfortunately, I don't remember what ultimately led to my job. I think it was either Indeed, or Robert Half (they're headhunters, but they did a good job).
Head hunters are great if you're at the right place at the right time. But applying to them is a more difficult ROI than passively getting lucky.
