Hm, I suppose in theory the only difference between the desktop and the start menu is how they're physically displayed. Interesting that everyone stored their files in the desktop and nobody in the start menu - I suppose that's really just because it was easier to navigate to the desktop in the save dialog and because you could right click -> new document there.
