You are confusing money and wealth. We can all be richer. The vast majority today has riches that a medieval king could have never dreamed of. Exotic fruits year around. Magic devices. Healthcare that goes beyond anything medieval people could have imagined.
Yes, unlike economics, politics is zero-sum. The solution to that is to fix the political system, not to destroy the things that are working great.
What political system do you propose where wealth doesn't confer some political power?
Some political power is probably unavoidable, no matter the system and no matter the wealth distribution. We can do lots of things though to weaken that effect. Obvious options range from a simple campaign finance reform to more impactful things like sortition or election by jury.
