I got anecdata of people shopping for gargantuan 3-row SUVs so they can accommodate the third child seat. Most people don’t seem to mind as it’s “only” a monthly payment. (Over 8 years it’s a fortune in interest let alone the actual cost of the vehicle but most people don’t think that far ahead)
To add my and data as someone who recently got a third child: number one question i get askes is whether we are going to move (we live in an apartment in the city) number two is a comment about cars size. So I am pretty sure people consider this when they think about having another child.
A 3-row minivan sounds more practical.
Yeah but people like suvs :) thats why there are fewer minivan and sedan choices these days.
A minivan cost $60,000 more practical would be smaller car seats.

That’s great? You shouldn’t have kids if you can’t stand the slightest temporary inconvenience such as… providing them safe transportation.
fun fact. the same number of women are having kids as in the 80's they are just having fewer children.
My mom had my brother when she was 21.
Who the hell has kids nowadays at that age? Not many in the first world.
