Why link to an article instead of an actual picture?

The page you linked failed to show any image without JS enabled (although my ad blocker might share some of the blame, there are a handful of trackers on that site) and the article doesn't link directly to it either. This picture is the service image in the carousel at the top of tfa.

  • That at least is a pretty reasonable use of js to display an image. The page WarOnPrivacy linked to only had a single static image to display, even used an img tag, and still managed to make it impossible to view without javascript enabled.
