Arnold's principle (after Vladimir Arnold) says that no invention is attributed correctly to its true inventor. The principle applies to itself, of course.

Ha, that's a good one. Reminds me of Hofstadter's Law: "It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law".
