I could see somewhat of a way around this. Feed AI hours of gameplay footage of a completed gameplay run and have it review it, then have it try to recreate the game to the best of its ability. Won't be perfect, but could work.
I don’t know why paying AI companies is better than paying devs for their actual work. Pretty sure this won’t work though outside of the most cookie cutter Unreal Engine games etc.
I'd say its valid if the devs decide to lock a game behind cloud computing, where they can take away the ability to play it at any time.
Someone just needs to pay the AI companies once and then copy at will to the Internet... But without ads, micro transactions and anti-cheat.
Ya, its the ads bullshit and exploitive microtransactions that really killed a lot of gaming for me. This said there are so many options without that, so that's what I stick to.
I'd love to make a soccer game with all the famous players in it with AI and dump it on the internet for free out of pure spite because of companies like EA. I don't even like sports games.
Have llm do actual playing, do a speedrun uncovering every little detail (maybe apart from parallel story lines but they could hallucinate branches).
Probably will consume gazillion compute but now seems like sky is the limit, on a good compute day at least
