I could see somewhat of a way around this. Feed AI hours of gameplay footage of a completed gameplay run and have it review it, then have it try to recreate the game to the best of its ability. Won't be perfect, but could work.

I don’t know why paying AI companies is better than paying devs for their actual work. Pretty sure this won’t work though outside of the most cookie cutter Unreal Engine games etc.

  • I'd say its valid if the devs decide to lock a game behind cloud computing, where they can take away the ability to play it at any time.

  • Someone just needs to pay the AI companies once and then copy at will to the Internet... But without ads, micro transactions and anti-cheat.

    • Ya, its the ads bullshit and exploitive microtransactions that really killed a lot of gaming for me. This said there are so many options without that, so that's what I stick to.

I'd love to make a soccer game with all the famous players in it with AI and dump it on the internet for free out of pure spite because of companies like EA. I don't even like sports games.

Have llm do actual playing, do a speedrun uncovering every little detail (maybe apart from parallel story lines but they could hallucinate branches).

Probably will consume gazillion compute but now seems like sky is the limit, on a good compute day at least
