Yes, and that may be due to an influx of bots, unfortunately. Otherwise the core HN crowd has historically been nuanced and thoughtful. Some of the more recent HN data analysis posts also show how just overall submission and comment volume has increased substantially in the current AI moment, so along with that comes these sorts of negative effects.
