As a Balkanian I vouch for this. Even what little you pay as taxes gets embezzled and you are always on your own.

Not really. You won't thrive in a strict bureaucratic regulatory and tax environment if you get used to doing things the Balkan way.
Can you tell some example please, because I see fellow balkans thrive wherever they go. It’s the opposite in my experience when you come to balkan from strict regulatory environment then there are problems.
