Not enough oncologists in my country or anywhere in the world.

Medical oncology is definitely not an attractive specialty.

High stress, poor pay, fraught conversations with often aggressive family members.

Would you want to be the person who is being abused by all the commenters here ?

Neither would they.

That is why ROAD ( Radiology, Opthalmology, Anaesthetics and Dermatology) is so popular.

Also why most doctors kids go into non-medical fields.

My colleagues kids are doing hedge funds, big law, M&A and unicorn billion dollar AI startups, not high stress, poor pay medicine.
