I created a Garmin CLI that just connects to Garmin Connect. My agent loves it. Now it is my coach which I anthropomorphize too much, but it has a lasting effect in the sense of keeping running. I also feel relieved to not use the awful iOS app or website anymore.

You mean it connects to the "Garmin Connect" app on the watch ? What protocol / what device are you running it on ?

Also sounds like a great candidate for backing up (automatically) your Garmin data locally !
