Mid-40s western man living far from the West. Have three young children with a mom who is currently ineligible to hop on a plane with me back to my country of origin.

If you haven't already made it like the good times claiming influencers (@@ dhh and levels) who've accrued enough capital to ride whatever wave comes it is looking pretty bleak under these waters.

At least with my pension's survivor benefits and savings the kids would be able to make it til their 20s well supported with a better quality of life than what it looks like the labor market will afford me.
