We won't be bargaining with superintelligence, we will be bargaining with the handful of oligarchs that are creating super intelligence to rob us of all bargaining power.

This is why they're talking about it in religious terms. It's their salvation from labor and its demands.

This isn't a passive process that's happening by itself. It is driven by specific people with specific goals.
