Automating most jobs means extraordinary unemployment.

Which doesn’t play well with “savings for consumers”, because these consumers will be unemployed.

300 years ago 97% of workers were farmers. We automated almost all those jobs away. Is there extraordinary unemployment?

I know, this time it’s different, AI is different, blah blah blah.

  • Of course changes that happened over course of centuries can’t be compared with larger changes happening (or promised to be happening) in a few years.

    • It didn't happen over the course of centuries. My grandma was a small land holder and grew her own crops until she passed away. None of her children or grandchildren have any relationship to farming.
