Anthropic is doing some fascinating work. However, I find their communication style frustrating. It’s clear to me their employees have near unlimited token budgets. When Anthropic team members share their internal processes, I feel they don’t appreciate the constraints that many of us face in our work with budgets.
I don't understand how their work can be considered fascinating if an insight into their internal processes shows that they are completely detached from reality. This would mean that their work output is also detached from reality. "Fascinating" isn't the word for this.
I use Claude Code every day. And I find the product to work smoothly, and effectively. From the user's perspective, that's good software. I'm impressed with what they've built. Truly. They are using a novel approach to write good software. That's fascinating. TBH this community has lost touch with reality. AI is making people lose their minds.
