What tells you that? Do you have evidence? Or just a vague sense that no one actually has any principles?
My experience is that, for the most part, the people who criticized woke censorship are also critics of the Trump administration and its lawlessness.
The most famous free speech absolutist is Elon Musk and he’s not only not a critic of the Trump administrations lawlessness but a direct participant in it. Also censors a lot of shit on Twitter that he doesn’t like.
Yes, Elon has disgraced himself. But the majority of anti-woke, free-speech advocates have seamlessly transitioned to criticizing Trump.
Just look at the signatories of the Harper's letter: https://harpers.org/a-letter-on-justice-and-open-debate/
The vast, vast majority have gone on to criticize Trump in his second term.
There's maybe 40 people on this list you could remotely consider "critics of woke censorship." And they are certainly not critics of censorship, wholesale. JK Rowling is a billionaire who has used her fortune to threaten legal action against multiple critics, forcing them to retract what they wrote about her. That does not sound like someone who is against censorship to me. Or is censorship okay as long as it's not "Woke"?
And even if your description did apply to everyone on this list, so what? A small handful of academics write a letter condemning Trump. How did you spin that into "People that criticize woke censorship don't like Trump." Are you under the impression that the world is comprised of ivory tower academics, and everyone else is a non-entity?
If you were paying attention at all, you'd see the entire anti-woke movement has become a young person's game, and it's completely divorced from censorship. It's more about open, malicious resentment towards anything non-white, now.

I'd fall into this bucket. I both disagree with much of what people consider wokism and think Trump is a gigantic ass hat.
