If you can't get it to output good code I'm afraid it's probably a skill or prompting issue. There are programmers that are almost certainly better than you that are using LLMs regularly to produce good code. Do you think the Linus is a bad programmer?
He is not a programmer anymore. He admitted that he mostly reviews, tests and gives suggestion now. He still does a little coding, but usually small patch that hard to say if he is good or bad programmer.
I would say he is a good PM/visionary.
Linus has motive behind his position on AI. It's his operating system that's at the center of the AI revolution. The Linux Foundation is involved with several AI projects and has a lot of members that are all-in with AI.
