It has been speculated that Apple completely revamped how iOS deals with multiple screens in anticipation of the iPhone duo launch. Believe me, this change has been very disruptive to iOS developers too, specifically those who took the effort to support an external screen in their iOS app. Apple again steamrolled users relying on a feature Apple believes is little used and changed its behavior to suit its own hardware.
