This goes both ways, of course. I'm from Germany and I consider myself a "western" person, but why would anyone call the process of making the weights neutral anything like "westernize"??

FWIW I'd think the westernized version would then "retaliate" and favor western over "eastern" users.

That's NOT really creating trust...
