HN commentary on the matter is so different than elsewhere, but I cannot consider the discussion of a higher quality when it completely avoids the obvious stuff right in front of your face. Read the entire comment list, and not a single mention of the forced diversity and wokeness, trans-nonsense that has been injected into the games, which has absolutely turned off the entire audience.

I am as much of a chud as you are, and I had romanced every gay character in the previous games because the games were good, the characters were good, and I wanted to explore every bit of them. I would have done the same in BG3 if I still had the time to replay 50 hour games every few years.
even without the current year bits, the "D" in DA4 is for "Disney".
I think the core issue is bad writing. All of that other stuff is only a problem because it's written with the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face. In many cases the writing reduces characters to their identity group instead of being believable humans with believable motivations.
Bioware's downslide predates the "woke" narrative -- i don't remember Anthem being particularly woke, but it certainly wasn't the sort of game they should have been making.
It's almost as if your little far-right bubble doesn't represent the entire industry.
So you want to be disingenuous, that's ok with me. Everybody knows it.
