I keep every single one and if there’s a game I want to play that I already own I’ll play it on its original console instead of emulating it or buying a remake/remaster. When I have company over everyone has a great time re-discovering the things we loved about them and appreciating the advancements we’ve made. There is something different about passing the controller around between levels on Mega Man X or playing Melee on its original hardware.
I have no doubt that people do this, I also still have my Game Boy and Mega Drive lying around somewhere, but the question is whether this is common.
