why doesn't the author have any internet footprint (or at any rate any one that links to this paper)? it's curious.

Because having an online footprint is a great way to get cloned and scammed? It’s a great way to get tracked? It’s a great way to get addicted to these “social networks”?

What has that got to do with anything? Look into his work rather than his online persona.

It's his/her prerogative to keep an online footprint or not.
