You can get an older Google pixel fold for a fraction of their price on release.

Why would I want the ergonomics of a small laptop when a folding phone and bluetooth keyboard is much better?

What software do you need that android cannot support? Surely ssh or tailscale can fill that gap.

I would argue that if we are going this far to continue doing that sort of work on a mobile device you might as well have a second device.

If you are packing a keyboard you can pack a laptop or a tablet.

In my case, my travel setup is a normal iPhone and an AYN Odin 2 Portal.

If I had a folding phone instead, I’d still need to pack a controller grip device for gaming. If my games are 16:9 I’ve still compromised on screen size by using a folding phone.

I am sure there are some use cases where a folding phone is specifically better, but I’m not sure about any that involve laptop replacement.
