From what I understand, this proves mathematically that complex problems can be solved faster than we thought.
Now... the algorithm only works at impossible scales, so it changes (probably) absolutely nothing for real life or social networks.

It's still a lot bigger than polynomial. I don't think it would realistically be that useful.
Odds are about 50/50 what happens first, a galactic algorithm becoming useful, or OpenAI strip-mining a discovery from the field of Mathematics in a way that discovery benefits any human.
