Back to similar weight as the 2016 Touch Bar era MBPs (13" 1.37 kg; 15" 1.83 kg), except way better thermals and battery life.

Way better thermals and battery life according to Apple, we do not yet have units in hand to review.

  • True. But I'm cautiously optimistic based on their track record of not shipping dud MacBooks (on the thermal and battery life front) since the switch to Apple Silicon. The Touch Bar/butterfly keyboard era of MacBooks was a total disaster. The chassis design didn't fit the hot and power hungry 14 nm Intel CPUs + generally poor reliability.

    • Sure, I certainly don’t expect for the laptop to be a slouch, but Apple is no stranger to exaggeration.
