I wonder if the new economics of finding bugs means that they pay the amount they think the tokens cost to find it.

Makes negative sense. If it were that easy, OpenAI wouldn't have any bugs bc they could just run agents to exploit their own stuff and then fix all their bugs.

This bug could not be found by just asking an AI "find bugs in ChatGPT", that's why it was reported through a bug bounty programs and that's why it should be worth more than $5k
