Nice web site. However, I've got a server with 14 alpine-based docker containers in production. Among them 13 are widely distributed images (like web server, databases, etc.) and one is a custom build image. Only one of them have an SSH server publicly exposed, Forgejo, but it's its own internal SSH server which only accept public keys and Git commands. On the internal network, only 3 of respond to SSH. I haven't tweaked their default SSH config. None were vulnerable to this attack.

I tested an unpatched forgejo (enabling passwords temporarily, and even adding root to permitted users) and couldn't trigger this.

ETA: I could trigger it. You need to enable passwords and add a second user with a valid password, then git@ works. Obviously this still means the default forgejo is safe as you say.
