And this is why you don't just jump to rust-written alternatives because they're supposedly "safer": the "safer" implementation might actually be incompatible (intentionally or otherwise) from the original, which for something like sudo or coreutils is... Erm, kinda important. Maybe "rewrite it in Rust" was a bad idea after all...
