Won't they also be less of a bottleneck in the destruction of the world as well? i.e. the power grid, the financial system, industrial control systems, military command and control networks, etc.
Same is true of every other technology ever invented. Even medical advancements wielded by a malevolent power just serve to keep their army healthier. All of the other technologies you listed, in the “wrong hands”, contribute to the destruction of the world.
